U.S. Department of Homeland Security Mandates Electronic Travel Authorization for Visa Waiver Program Travelers

Starting January 12, 2009, nonimmigrant aliens traveling to the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program must obtain an approved travel authorization from the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) before their trip, in order to comply with the new requirement.
