EPA Proposes Minor Correction to Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule and Updates References to Analytical Methods
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing a minor correction to the Stage 2 Disinfectants and Disinfection Byproducts Rule, which was finalized on January 4, 2006, to address an unintentional exclusion of a requirement for ground water systems serving 500-9,999 people. The proposed changes will ensure that these systems are required to monitor for both total trihalomethanes and haloacetic acids concentrations at two locations, as intended.
