EPA Exempts (S,S)-Ethylenediaminedisuccinic Acid from Tolerance Requirement for Pesticide Formulations on Growing Crops

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of (S,S)-Ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid (CAS Reg. No. 20846-91-7), a sequestrant used in pesticide formulations applied to growing crops, under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) as amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996 (FQPA). This exemption eliminates the need to establish a maximum permissible level for residues of (S,S)-Ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid.
