NMFS Publishes Regulations for U.S. Fishing Vessel Boarding Ladders

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has issued regulations requiring U.S. fishing vessels with a freeboard of four feet or more to install U.S. Coast Guard-approved pilot ladders for authorized personnel to safely board vessels, addressing concerns over inadequate current standards.
