FAA Issues New Airworthiness Directive for Bombardier Regional Jet Series 100 & 440 Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Bombardier Model CL-600-2B19 airplanes, requiring replacement of the main landing gear (MLG) main fittings with new improved fittings to prevent premature failure and collapse of the MLG upon landing. The new directive supersedes an existing AD that previously required repetitive inspections and servicing of the MLG.
