USDA Revises Standards for Whole Dry Peas, Split Peas, and Lentils

The Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) is updating the U.S. Standards for Whole Dry Peas, Split Peas, and Lentils to provide applicants with an optional grade designation for pea and lentil certification and to remove the requirement for Mixed Dry Peas to display the percentage of each class on the grade line, aiming to simplify the standards and better align with current market practices.
