UN to Observe World AIDS Day on December 1, 2008

The United Nations will observe World AIDS Day on December 1, 2008, to raise awareness about AIDS and HIV, and to promote prevention and treatment efforts globally. The day is marked annually to commemorate the deaths of millions of people who have died from AIDS-related illnesses.
