Navy Amends Certifications and Exemptions Under International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972

The US Navy has amended its certifications and exemptions under the 1972 International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 72 COLREGS, to exempt the USS Dallas, a Navy submarine, from certain provisions due to its unique construction and purpose, in order to prevent interference with its naval function.
