USDA Forest Service to Revise EIS for Dead Tree Harvesting Proposal in Plumas National Forest

The US Department of Agriculture's Forest Service plans to revise an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a proposal to clear dead trees on approximately 10,366 acres within the burned areas of the Moonlight and Wheeler Fires, as well as 4,389 acres along National Forest System roads. The proposal aims to mitigate post-fire hazards and restore the forest ecosystem.
