Washington State Modifies Late Payment and Interest Charge Regulation for Irish Potatoes Grown in the Region
The Washington State Potato Committee has revised the late payment and interest charge regulation for Irish potatoes grown in the state, extending the timeframe for when interest is charged on late payments from 30 to 60 days from the billing date, with the goal of reducing nominal late payment interest charges for handlers who pay within the extended timeframe while continuing to encourage timely payment to ensure adequate funds for the Committee's expenses.
