U.S. Department of Energy Proposes Amendments to Test Procedures for Clothes Dryers and Room Air Conditioners

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is proposing amendments to its test procedures for residential clothes dryers and room air conditioners to measure standby mode and off mode power use, in accordance with the International Electrotechnical Commission's (IEC) Standard 62301.
