NMFS Proposes Reissue of Exempted Fishing Permit for Monkfish Research in Northeastern US

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Northeast Region, NMFS, has proposed reissuing an Exempted Fishing Permit (EFP) to allow a commercial fishing vessel to conduct restricted fishing operations in the Northeastern United States, enabling researchers to study the effects of climate on monkfish distribution and catch rates.
