USDA Adopts New Assessment Rate for California Dried Prunes

The US Department of Agriculture has finalized a rule reducing the assessment rate for the Prune Marketing Committee from $0.60 to $0.30 per ton of dried prunes, effective for the 2008-09 crop year and beyond, to fund the program's expenses.
