Coast Guard Proposes Expansion of Notice of Arrival and Departure, and Automatic Identification System Requirements

The U.S. Coast Guard is proposing to expand the requirements for commercial vessels to submit electronic notices of arrival and departure, and to carry Automatic Identification System (AIS) technology, in order to improve navigation safety and enhance maritime domain awareness.
