U.S. Army Plans Environmental Impact Statement for Fort Lewis and Yakima Training Center

The U.S. Army is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement to assess the environmental and socioeconomic effects of implementing its 'Grow the Army' program, which includes stationing additional units at Fort Lewis and the Yakima Training Center, potentially increasing active duty strength by 1,900 Soldiers over the next five years.
