NMFS Proposes Exempted Fishing Permit for Atlantic Surfclam and Ocean Quahog Harvesting

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries, Northeast Region, has made a preliminary determination that an EFP application submitted by Wallace and Associates warrants further consideration, proposing to issue an EFP to extend the previously authorized harvesting of surfclams and ocean quahogs from the Georges Bank Closure Area for an additional year.
