Virginia to Assume Regulatory Authority Over Byproduct Materials, Waiver Termination

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Commonwealth of Virginia have signed an agreement allowing Virginia to assume regulatory authority over the possession and use of certain materials, while the NRC will discontinue its regulatory authority over these materials. The waiver termination notice follows the agreement, effective March 31, 2009.
