Nuclear Regulatory Commission Extends Public Comment Period for General Electric-Hitachi Global Laser Enrichment Facility Environmental Impact Statement

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is extending the public comment period for the Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed General Electric-Hitachi Global Laser Enrichment facility in North Carolina until August 31, 2009, to allow public review of the license application and encourage public input on the scope of the EIS.
