Nuclear Regulatory Commission Introduces New Regulations to Impose Federal Criminal Penalties for Unauthorized Introduction of Weapons

The NRC is amending its regulations to authorize the imposition of federal criminal penalties on individuals who introduce weapons or explosives into NRC-regulated facilities without authorization, in accordance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954.
