Nuclear Regulatory Commission Confirms Effective Date for Revised Spent Fuel Storage Regulations

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is confirming the effective date of December 28, 2009, for a direct final rule that revised the spent fuel storage regulations to include Amendment No. 7 to Certificate of Compliance Number 1014 for the HI-STORM 100 dry cask storage system. This change was published in the Federal Register on October 13, 2009.
