USDA to Offer Reduced Overtime and Holiday Inspection Fees for Small Meat, Poultry, and Egg Establishments

The US Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is providing a temporary reduction in overtime and holiday inspection fees for small and very small meat, poultry, and egg establishments, using $20 million in de-obligated funds for Fiscal Year 2026. Eligible establishments can apply for a 30% reduction for small businesses and a 75% reduction for very small businesses, by submitting the FSIS Form 5200-16.
