Globalstar Gets FCC Approval for Expanded Ancillary Terrestrial Component Operations in Big LEO Bands

The Federal Communications Commission has approved Globalstar, Inc. to operate an ancillary terrestrial component in the 1610-1617.775 MHz and 2483.5-2495 MHz bands, expanding its spectrum usage in the 1.6/2.4 GHz Big LEO Bands. This decision increases the spectrum available for CDMA-based Big LEO Mobile-Satellite Service systems.
