FDA Amends Authorization for Doxycycline Hyclate Tablet Emergency Kits for USPS Participants and Household Members

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for doxycycline hyclate tablet emergency kits for eligible U.S. Postal Service participants in the Cities Readiness Initiative and their household members, originally issued on October 3, 2008. The amendment was made in response to a request from the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) on behalf of the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) within the Health and Human Services (HHS).
