FDA Approves Nitrofurazone Ointment for Horses to Prevent Superficial Bacterial Infections

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its animal drug regulations to reflect the approval of an original abbreviated new animal drug application (ANADA) filed by First Priority, Inc., allowing the use of nitrofurazone ointment on horses for the prevention or treatment of superficial bacterial infections.
