FBI Exempts New Law Enforcement Data System from Privacy Act Requirements

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has issued a final rule exempting the Law Enforcement National Data Exchange (N-DEx) from certain requirements under the Privacy Act of 1974, allowing the agency to collect and share law enforcement data without interference with its functions.
