GAO Amends Records Rule to Clarify Disclosure of Congressional Correspondence and Interview Records

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has updated its records rule to allow for the release or withholding of congressional correspondence without prior authorization and to require notification of agencies involved in interviews, enhancing transparency and cooperation during audits and investigations.
