USDA Seeks Public Comments on Revisions to Carcass Beef Standards

The US Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service is soliciting public comments on proposed changes to the United States Standards for Grades of Carcass Beef, including the potential elimination of a skeletal maturity requirement for younger cattle and the consideration of marbling degrees for USDA Prime grade beef.
