EPA Proposes Approval of Minnesota Air Quality Implementation Plan Revision for Lafarge North America Corporation

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a site-specific revision to the Minnesota State Implementation Plan (SIP) for particulate matter less than 10 microns (PM-10) for Lafarge North America Corporation, a major cement manufacturer, at its Childs Road Terminal in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) has requested EPA approval of Lafarge's federally enforceable state operating permit into the Minnesota PM SIP, and the revocation of a previously approved administrative order for Lafarge from the PM-10 SIP, which was submitted on December 18, 2006.
