Buy America Requirements; End Product Analysis and Waiver Procedures

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has issued a new rule to update the Buy America requirements under the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU). The rule clarifies various aspects of the requirements, including exemptions for microprocessors, post-award waivers, and end products, and expands the list of eligible communications, train control, and traction power equipment.
