EPA Proposes Approval of Arkansas Clean Air Interstate Rule Revision

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the Arkansas State Implementation Plan (SIP) to fully implement the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) Ozone Season Trading Program, which aims to reduce NOx emissions contributing to nonattainment of the 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard in downwind states.
