DOT Adopts Inflation Adjustments to Civil Penalties for FMCSA Regulations

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has finalized a rule adjusting civil penalties for violating its regulations to account for inflation, as mandated by the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990, amended by the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996. The rule also includes a technical correction to reference a previously created paragraph.
