EPA Proposes Approval of New York State Implementation Plan Revision to Clean Air Interstate Rule

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a revision to the New York State Implementation Plan (SIP) that addresses the requirements of the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR), which was promulgated on May 12, 2005, and subsequently revised on April 28, 2006, and December 13, 2006. The proposed approval will also withdraw the CAIR Federal Implementation Plans for New York pending final approval of the SIP revision.
