EPA Approves Alabama's Clean Air Interstate Rule Implementation Plan

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has finalized the approval of Alabama's revised State Implementation Plan (SIP) to comply with the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR), which aims to reduce sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide emissions in the state, following a series of updates and revisions submitted by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) in 2006 and 2007.
