NMFS Extends Comment Period for Atlantic Shark Management Measures

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is extending the public comment period for Amendment 2 to the Consolidated Highly Migratory Species Fishery Management Plan (FMP) and its proposed rule, originally set to conclude on October 10, 2007, to November 2, 2007, in response to requests from the Regional Fishery Management Council, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission, and the public.
