U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Extends Public Comment Period for Polar Bear Listing

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is extending the public comment period on the listing of the polar bear as threatened throughout its range due to the availability of new data and modeling results. The Service is considering the USGS reports and will make a final determination within the next year.
