NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands Management Area

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher processor vessels using hook-and-line gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area due to the risk of exceeding the 2007 directed fishing allowance for this fishery.
