NMFS Prohibits Pacific Cod Fishing in Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has prohibited directed fishing for Pacific cod by catcher vessels using pot gear in the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands management area due to concerns of exceeding the 2007 directed fishing allowance.
