US to End Temporary Protected Status for Burundi, Automatic Extension for Eligible Beneficiaries

The US Department of Homeland Security will terminate the temporary protected status (TPS) designation for Burundi on May 2, 2009, but will automatically extend employment authorization documentation for eligible beneficiaries until then, allowing for an orderly transition.
