EPA Proposes Nonattainment and Reclassification of Beaumont/Port Arthur Ozone Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to determine that the Beaumont/Port Arthur area in Texas has failed to meet the 8-hour ozone national ambient air quality standard by June 15, 2007, and will be reclassified as a moderate area with a new attainment deadline of no later than June 15, 2010.
