MMS to Host Public Workshop on Possible Suspension of Operations for High Pressure or High Temperature Equipment

The Minerals Management Service (MMS) will hold a public workshop on January 23, 2008, to discuss the possibility of developing a new regulation allowing for a temporary halt of operations related to high pressure or high temperature equipment used in drilling, completion, or production activities, particularly in frontier areas where unexpected extreme temperatures or pressures are encountered.
