CMS Proposes Changes to Home Health Agency Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) System

The US Department of Health and Human Services is proposing to modify the Home Health Agency Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) system, originally designed to identify the Bureau, Office, or Center that maintained information in the Health Care Financing Administration systems of records, to simplify its numbering system and clarify its use. The proposed changes aim to improve the system's transparency and accessibility for CMS grantees and other stakeholders.
