FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Turbomeca Makila 1 A and 1 A1 Turboshaft Engines
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing a new airworthiness directive (AD) to address recent issues with the Turbomeca Makila 1 A and 1 A1 turboshaft engines, specifically related to the electronic control units (ECUs) and the risk of dual-engine reversion to the 65% N1 back-up mode, which could lead to loss of safe flight capabilities.
