Medicare and Medicaid Programs; Waiver of Disapproval of Nurse Aide Training Program in Certain Cases and Nurse Aide Petition for Removal of Information for Single Finding of Neglect

The proposed rule would allow skilled nursing facilities and nursing facilities to avoid disapproval of nurse aide training due to non-compliance with quality of care standards if they have been fined at least $5,000 for other reasons. This change is based on a 2003 law and aims to simplify the process for nurse aides who have made a single mistake.
