Conformity Determination for the East River Waterfront Esplanade and Piers Project
The Lower Manhattan Development Corporation has prepared a general conformity determination for the East River Waterfront Esplanade and Piers Project, a $1.5 billion city-owned development in Manhattan, to ensure compliance with federal environmental laws, including the Clean Air Act and National Environmental Policy Act. The project, which began construction in 2019, aims to improve a two-mile stretch of the East River waterfront and create a public esplanade and piers.
