FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Certain Boeing 747 Airplanes
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is proposing a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Boeing Model 747 airplanes to address safety concerns related to the transmission attachment design and potential loss of an outboard trailing edge flap, which could lead to asymmetric flight control limits and affect the airplane's continued safe flight and landing.
