TransCanada to Waive Pipeline Safety Regulation for Two Segments of Portland Natural Gas Transmission System

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) is granting TransCanada Pipelines Limited a special permit to waive compliance with a federal pipeline safety regulation for two pipeline segments in the Portland Natural Gas Transmission System. This waiver allows TransCanada to avoid confirming or revising the maximum allowable operating pressure of the pipelines after a change in class location.
