Nuclear Regulatory Commission Requests Public Comment on Petition to Limit Highly Enriched Uranium Use

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has requested public comment on a petition filed by the Natural Resources Defense Council, which seeks to amend regulations governing the use of highly enriched uranium (HEU) to prevent its use in improvised nuclear explosive devices.
