U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Amendment to Spent Fuel Storage Cask Regulations

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to update its regulations for storing spent nuclear fuel by revising the NAC-UMS Universal Storage System listing to include changes related to high-burnup pressurized water reactor fuel and to enhance the safety of the storage operation.
