NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of Nonconforming 2006 Porsche Cayenne Vehicles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from a company requesting that 2006 Porsche Cayenne vehicles manufactured before September 1, 2006, that do not meet all applicable safety standards, be allowed to be imported into the US due to their similarity to US-certified models and their ability to be modified to meet safety requirements.
