NHTSA Delays Compliance Date for Sliding Door Provisions
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has delayed the compliance date for the sliding door provisions of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard on door locks and door retention components from September 1, 2009 to September 1, 2010, in response to petitions for reconsideration and concerns about new test requirements.
